Hello all,
I've been researching different types of procurement methods and I have some thoughts I'd like to share and hear your opinions on.
When it comes to acquiring goods and services for a company, there are quite a few methods that a procurement team can utilize.
What strikes me is how different each method can be, especially when comparing open tendering and restricted tendering.
I was wondering if anyone here has experience with the Request for Proposals (RFP) method specifically, and what tips you might have for drafting a compelling proposal.
Has anyone had the opportunity to use the two-stage tendering process, and if so, what insights did you gain from that experience?
Also, who has opted for a Request for Quotations (RFQ) for smaller purchases, and how did that work out?
To those who've engaged in single-source procurement, what factors drove that decision and how did you ensure it was the best move for your organization?
Lastly, are there any seasoned procurement pros here who can shed light on common misconceptions about these methods or on strategies for choosing the most suitable method for a company's needs?
I’m eager to learn from the wealth of experience I know exists in this community, so please share your stories and advice!
