Can anyone clarify how a delivery order differs from a purchase order in procurement?
I understand that both documents play a crucial role in the procurement process, but I'm a bit unclear on their specific purposes and when each should be used.
From what I've gathered, it seems like a delivery order may involve more specific details about the delivery itself.
In contrast, a purchase order appears to focus on the intent to buy and the details of the items being purchased.
Does this mean that the delivery order is more about the logistical aspect while the purchase order is the initial step confirming the purchase?
Would love to get some insight from those experienced in procurement. Thanks in advance!
