There is no direct connection to Public Procurement but to bio-based materials and innovation. This could be interesting for buyer groups and further helps to reduce the fear regarding reliability of bio-based materials. It shows the performance of bio-based materials that could be interesting for Public Procurement for certain applications in the future.

Is the bio-based content of importance for procurement purposes (tendering, contracts etc.)? The European standard EN 16785-1 specifies a method of determining the bio-based content in products, based on the radiocarbon analysis and elemental analysis.
